Zophiel's Battle Cry:
Zophiel, of Cherubim the wiftest wing,
Came flying, and in mid Air aloud thus cri'd.
'Arm, Warriors, Arm for fight, the foe at hand,
Whom fled we thought, will save us long pursuit
This day, fear not his flight; so thick a Cloud
He comes, and settl'd in his face I see
Sad resolution and secure: let each
His Adamantine coat gird well, and each
Fit well his Helm, grip fast his orbed Shield,
Borne ev'n or high, for this day will pour down,
If I conjecture aught, no drizzling show'r,
But rattling storm of Arrows barb'd with fire.'
I started reading Paradise Lost again, and naturally that meant a return to my own little version. It's such a beautiful story, and the language is exquisite. Sigh. So it's my opinion that if you strip away the religious dogma from Paradise Lost, it becomes a story about the terraforming and colonization of worlds.
This is one of the Angels, in case you don't know what "Cherubim" means. The demon designs can be found on Heads and March.
The rest of the Angel designs will follow, including color versions, as well as (GASP!!) Adam and Eve, The Lord God and His Son. You're gonna loooove this.
Hang on to your seats, folks!
